Technological development at ROCK SAFETY Kft. in the field of manufacturing healthcare products
ROCK SAFETY Munkavédelmi Eszközgyártó és Kereskedelmi Korlátolt Felelősségű Társaság has received 548,932,960 HUF in conditionally refundable funding from European Union sources with an 80% aid intensity within the framework of the Economic Development and Innovation Operational Programme (GINOP-1.2.15-21) entitled “Supporting the development of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises aimed at manufacturing healthcare products” under the project code GINOP-1.2.15-21-2021-00032, titled “Technological development at ROCK SAFETY Kft. in the field of manufacturing healthcare products”. Through this grant, production lines serving the manufacturing of products relevant to the defense against the coronavirus pandemic were procured.
Within the framework of the project, 2 disposable nitrile glove production lines equipped with automatic counters and box packaging machines, measuring 80 x 1.8 x 8 m, were acquired. During the defense against the virus, a quantitative shortage of nitrile and latex examination gloves occurred on the domestic market, upsetting the previous balance between supply and demand. Due to the shortage on the domestic market, the company’s development goal in this project was to implement technological development in the field of manufacturing healt
hcare products (nitrile and latex gloves) relevant to the defense against the coronavirus pandemic by procuring new machines and equipment necessary for establishing the production line.
As a result of the development, our company is establishing an advanced healthcare manufacturing capacity, with which it can ensure the products necessary for healthcare provision through domestically produced, competitive products, even in the event of disruptions in the international supply chain.
With the help of the 548,932,960 HUF European Union grant, our company had the opportunity to domesticate disposable glove manufacturing, which is considered unique in the Hungarian economy, thereby contributing to reducing the exposure of the national economy.
